About LIQUID PICTURES
COMING SOON - 3D PRINTING - PLEASE STAY TUNED
Our forensic animations, demonstratives and tutorials have been used nationwide, from arbitration and the ITC, to federal court and congressional inquiries.
We have developed animations for such high profile cases as Apple v Samsung, BP Deepwater Horizon and many for Google, Samsung and Intel.
We always keep the story in sharp focus, that is what drives the animation. We also keep aesthetics a priority allowing the story to shine with clarity.
We offer services beyond the virtual world. Site visits, physical models, life size sets and reenactment videos to name just a few, we go out of our way, and go anywhere, to make sure your project is a success.
Even though we know technology, we also know how to speak in plain and simple terms. We help you take advantage of all that technology has to offer.
We often document our process and technique in order to justify the visuals we develop. Please let us know ahead of time if this is a requirement.
We strive to build long lasting relationships with our clients, many of whom have been working with us since we opened our doors in 1993.
We know the drill and get up to speed quickly, but are always looking for new challenges. If anyone says it can't be done, they have not worked with Liquid Pictures. The impossible just takes a little longer.
I have worked with Zac and his team for over 15 years.
Simply put, Liquid Pictures adds value and gets the job done right and on budget.
They are my go-to resource for Animation and video editing services.
Fulcrum has worked with Zac and his outstanding team at Liquid Pictures for more than 17 years. Throughout the many projects we have successfully completed together, Zac, Jeffrey, and their colleagues have always been thoughtful, efficient, and dedicated to providing us with the highest quality product, in the shortest possible time, for the lowest possible cost.
When we need animation for a project, there is only one choice – Liquid Pictures.
We use Liquid Pictures for all of our pharmaceutical animations to show how our products work to attack bacteria for various conditions. Their team is knowledgeable and easy to work with. Zac knows how to keep a project moving forward and works hard on managing expectations. The final animations not only tells our story, it looks great and comes in on budget. I really appreciate all the effort Liquid Pictures puts in to the process and their product.
President and Founder:
Zac has close to 30 years experience designing in 3D space. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Zac graduated from UC Berkeley in 1987, with a degree in Architecture. He worked for a corporate architectural firm in San Francisco, as well as with a small start-up company in Oakland where he became one of the pioneers in this "new" field of 3D animation. "When I went to college, there were no degrees for what we were doing", Zac says, "especially on a PC platform". He was quickly promoted to upper management and after four years, saw many more possibilities and decided to forge ahead with his own creative ideas, and had the courage to initiate his own start up.
Liquid Pictures opened its doors in 1993. Zac has been the driving force behind the company since its inception, and now oversees staff, sub-contractors, all production and most importantly research and development. He is also responsible for keeping abreast of new software, technology, and keeping Liquid Pictures on the cutting edge. Zac is known among his peers as a technophile - if it's not modified it's not Zac's.
Jeffrey is an eighteen year veteran of Liquid Pictures. He graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 1996 with a degree in Mathematics. He has an extensive, albeit informal background in computers, including 2D graphics, page layout and programming. Jeffrey has worked on projects ranging from DNA sequencing and Gene-chip applications for Affymetrix to Cargo Crane Sway Analysis for the City of Long Beach, CA.
Jeffrey started at Liquid Pictures in May of 1997 with no formal training in 3D computer graphics, but an intense desire to learn. Zac says, "Jeffrey has a unique way of approaching a challenge. He saves us an incredible amount of time through his ability to customize and automate a process within a 3D environment." With his stellar math skills and problem solving capabilities he quickly became an invaluable member of the team.
Piyatida is an award-winning designer who comes to Liquid Pictures from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her rendering of the Taj Mahal won the "Best Rendering" category as well as "Best Overall Entry" in an Alias/Wavefront International Student Competition. She received her Masters of Computer Arts from the Academy in 1999 where she studied Multimedia, Animation, Art History and Philosophy and received her undergraduate degree in Architecture from King Monkut's Institute of Technology, from her native Thailand. She has worked in the fields of Interior Architecture and Print. We highly value her aesthetic ability. "She brings a little beauty to our heavily technical work with her extraordinary skills in lighting and material application."
Joining Liquid Pictures in 1999, she has worked on many projects including a simulation of the Hearst Mining Building for a case involving UC Berkeley, and a Federal case for International Paper v. Affiliated FM Insurance Co., which resulted in a win for our client. This case happened to be the fifth largest verdict in the United States for the year 2003.
PR and Business Development:
Trina's background combines a B.A. in Communication from Cal State University, San Bernardino with practical experience as a graphic artist. She assists with the daily management of the office as well as developing public relations strategies and long term business plans. She consults on projects with an objective point of view regarding aesthetics and logic. But in the end, Trina is a people person. When trying to explain complex ideas, we often pass the our final visuals past her for a fresh "audience minded" point of view and clarity of vision. When you call our office, most likely her's is the first voice you will hear.
